Spencer is a member of the debate club, football, Winners Circle and Younglife. In the past, he has participated in basketball, golf, soccer and cross country running. He also attended PREP while in middle school putting him ahead of his class academically. Spencer is described as exemplary and of high moral character.
Spencer was offered the following scholarships: University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business, United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs – $414,000 (Nominated by both US Congressman Marsha Blackburn & US Senator Lamar Alexander), University of Texas at Dallas – National Merit $150,000, University of Oklahoma – National Merit $100,000, University of Alabama – National Merit $106,400, Arizona State University – National Merit $101,100, Trinity University – $77,776, TCU – $68,000, University of Miami – $64,000, University of Memphis – $39,800, Drexel University – $104,000. He will be attending UT Austin in the fall of 2013.
